Dryas octopetala L.

Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen subshrub, Ch, 2n=18,36, diploid, tetraploid mesic, saxiphile Circumpolar arctic-alpine Thlaspietea, Elyno-Seslerietea R63, alpine R62s, R36s habitats       This is the plant which represents the cold glacial paleo-climatic periods when its pollen is found extensively in the deposits from lower altitudes.
